Cairo – Mubasher: Export Development Bank of Egypt (EBE) on Thursday reported a 47.9% year-on-year rise in consolidated profits for the half of fiscal year 2018/2019,
The company generated EGP 585.61 million in profits during the six-month period ended last December, versus EGP 395.94 million in the corresponding period of FY17/18, according to a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Interest revenues rose to EGP 896.08 million in H1-18/19, versus EGP 591.75 billion in the year-ago period.
Meanwhile, standalone profits jumped to EGP 546.29 million in the July-December period of FY18/19, from EGP 362.72 million in the prior-year period.
EBE previously posted consolidated profits of EGP 302.8 million for the three-month period ended September, versus EGP 199.5 million in the same period a year earlier.
Moreover, standalone profits surged to EGP 267 million in the first quarter of FY18/19, from EGP 172.2 million in the prior-year period.
